Add Account With Confirmation Code (2024)

Important

• This process is optional. If you don’t want to use the confirmation code, or the code is missing/not working correctly, follow the standard steps for adding a Nintendo Account to a new user account or existing user account on Nintendo Switch.
• The 5-digit confirmation code is different than the 4-digit email verification code you receive when setting up a Nintendo Account.

Note

• When creating a new Nintendo Account to link to a Nintendo Switch console, you will be given the option to use a 5-digit confirmation code to complete the process.
• This method is only available when creating a new Nintendo Account on Nintendo Switch.

Complete these steps

1. When linking a Nintendo Account to a user account (new or existing), select Create Account when prompted, to set up a new Nintendo Account.
2. Select Send account-creation instructions via email.
3. Enter your date of birth, then select OK.
