An SSL certificate lets you protect a website, or multiple addresses in the case of Wildcard and Multi-Domain certificates. Click here for more information on the various types of our SSL certificates.
It is possible to install Gandi SSL certificates on your web hosting if:
Paste your certificate in the “SSL Certificate” field (not the CSR, you must paste the CRT). Note that the first line of an SSL certificate created by OpenSSL begins with %%—–BEGIN CERTIFICATE—–%%. All the lines must be run together and please be sure that there are no line breaks at the end of of the form.
Paste your private key in the “Key” field. The private key must be kept strictly confidential and must not be divulged to anyone. That would render the certificate useless. It is stored in an encrypted manner at Gandi once you have added it to a web hosting and the website’s connection is secured.
Click “Create” to finish the process. If the certificate and private key pair corresponds to the domain to protect, then the operation will be successful.
