"At approximately 9.15pm the crowd began to compress towards the front of the stage and that caused some panic and it started causing some injuries," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena informed reporters.

"People began to fallout, become unconscious, and it created additional panic."

The show was canceled shortly after the tragic accident and the second day of the event was also called off.

Scott is currently facing multiple lawsuits alongside fellow rapperDrake.

There is no excuse for the events that unfolded at NRG stadium on Friday night," Texas attorney Thomas J. Henry said in a news release on behalf of his client, Kristian Paredes, a concert-goer.

"There is every indication that the performers, organizers, and venue were not only aware of the hectic crowd but also that injuries and potential deaths may have occurred.

Still, they decided to put profits over their attendees and allowed the deadly show to go on."

Henry told CNN's Jack Tapper on November 11 that he now has over 100 clients who are part of the legal action.

“I represent now about 150 people," he claimed.

“That lawsuit will be amended day by day. It’s about 110 people at the moment, but I expect probably by tomorrow lunch it’ll be about 150 and, by the end of the day based on the trends I am seeing and people reaching out to my law firm, that it may get as high as 200 by the end of the day tomorrow.”

“While we are all still working to understand the full scope of the Astroworld tragedy, I believe the damages suffered by its victims could total in the billions,” Henrysaidin a press release obtained by theHoustonChronicle.
