Creed 4 release updates, cast, and more (2024)

The third Creed film in the franchise hit theaters on March 3 and fans already have their minds on Creed 4–which will be stylized as Creed IV. We’ve been on this journey with Adonis Creed since 2015 when he was troubled youth coming into his own and growing into the weight of his name.

When his story picks up in Creed III, Adonis is retired and running Delphi Boxing Academy with Tony “Little Duke” Evers Jr. Obviously, that wasn’t going to stay the case after being reunited with his childhood friend Damian Anderson went left. Without spoiling the film, we can say that Creed III‘s concludes in a way that might have spelled the end of the famed boxer’s series.

But that doesn’t mean we’re at the end of Adonis’ journey. Creed 4 is very much a possibility. Here’s what we know so far about the movie.

Michael B. Jordan confirmed a fourth movie in the Creed franchise in an interview with IGN. The star also mentioned the possibility of spin-offs down the line: “I just want to expand the Creed-verse within reason, but definitely expect other things around Creed for sure.”

An official announcement, however, has yet to be made.

Creed 4 cast

Without an official greenlight for the film, we can’t say who may be in the sequel, but based on Creed III‘s ending, we can expect the following:

Likely to return

  • Michael B. Jordan as Adonis “Donnie” Creed
  • Tessa Thompson as Bianca Taylor-Creed
  • Wood Harris as Tony “Little Duke” Evers

May return

Jonathan Majors as Damian “Diamond Dame” Anderson – Both Jordan and Majors have expressed a desire to continue to work together and developing a relationship akin to Al Pacino and Roberto De Niro. While this doesn’t mean it’ll be on another Creed title, we’re not ruling it out.

It depends. The legendary actor is open to returning to the Creed franchise as the iconic Rocky Balboa, but he has a condition. Looper reports that in an interview with Sirius XM, Stallone had the following to say about reprising his role:

"Now, if Michael B. Jordan — we come up with a story, I’ll do ‘Creed IV’ with him. As long as the other fellow [Winkler] is not involved."

Jordan hasn’t spoken on whether he’d concede to this condition, but the actor did note in a Sports Illustrated interview that there would be room for Stallone in Creed 4 if he decides to return.

"I think there’s always space for Sly, for Rocky, to come back. That’s one of those amazing things about that character. It would make sense in any story line because it all stems from the world of Rocky. So any version of that, it would make sense."

Will Creed 4 be the last Creed film?

In the Sports Illustrated interview Jordan said there’s a limit to the movies.

He stated, “There isn’t going to be a Creed VI, Creed VII. I’m not fighting in Creed VII. It ain’t happening,” while he acknowledged the difficulty of attaining and then maintaining the physique and activity he embodies as Adonis.

So, while we may see a Creed V, Jordan will be hanging up his gloves in the near future. We’ll keep you posted as more information comes in about Creed 4. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote!
