Can your kids watch this one? What is the age rating of Creed III?

Language

There is some cuss words and swears in Creed III that your kids will hear.

The song lyrics are where the most offensive words are heard, however.

During the songs (including one right off the bat at the beginning) your kids will hear the N-word and F-bomb (I think only once, but it was clearly there).

Other swear words include:

  • @ss
  • sh*t
  • d@mn
  • G-d
  • h@ll

Age Rating of Creed III: Is It Safe For Teens When It Comes To Sex, Romance, and Nudity?

There is no sex or nudity in Creed III.

There is some romantic flirting and kissing between a married couple, with implied sex about to happen.

But nothing is overt or shown on screen.

Violence and Gore: Is Creed III Too Scary For Kids Under 13?

It’s a hard-hitting (pun intended) movie about boxing.

So it’s violent from that standpoint.

The boxing scenes are pretty brutal with close-up images of fits hitting various body parts.

Blood is spat out and sprayed when a punch lands. The boxers also spit saliva a lot.

A boxer is knocked out in a concerning way at one point when his life looks to be in jeopardy.

There is another scene where a younger teen brutally beats up an older man, and a gun is brought out to stop the fight.

It’s not incredibly gory but there are some bloody moments that a squeamish child may need to be warned about.

Is Creed 3 Ok For Kids: Mature Topics

Characters drink alcohol but not to the point of drunkenness. There are also scenes involving gambling.

Themes of family you choose and having their backs are discussed throughout the film.

There are moments of regret and guilt that are also delved into through the story of two former friends whose lives took very different paths.

There is a loss of a parent that may also be triggering for some kids.

Age Rating of Creed III: What Ages Can Really Watch This One?

Creed III is rated PG-13 for Language, Intense Sports Action, and Violence.

Parents Guide: Is Creed 3 Appropriate For Kids Under 13?

As always, you know your child best.

If your family has watched the Rocky or Creed movies, then this one should be fine for your kids to watch.

For the most part, the violence shown in the movie is part of the sport.

There isn’t any nudity or sexual content to be concerned about.

If the songs were edited a bit, this one would be generally family-friendly (as far as a boxing movie goes).

We think kids 9 and up should be ok to watch Creed III with parents by their side.
